Southern South Dakota along Interstate 90 starts at Rapid City in the West and extends 350 miles to Sioux City in the East. Once you leave the Black Hills and attractions of the West (Rushmore, Deadwood), the excitment meter drops offs considerably, (save for the fabulous Corn Palace in Mitchell
