Welcome to the new Beer Mecca- Asheville. There are no less than 10 craft beer breweries in Asheville, NC and growing. They range from larger established brew pubs (see insert below) to the quaint 1 beer only estabs. Asheville also boasts several beer festivals featuring its fine ales and stouts. For a population of 85k, that’s a lot of beer, beer festivals, and beer related fun!
UPDATE: Asheville’s Beer scene just got better! 2 new Craft brew titians of the beer industry are setting up shop in Asheville, Sierra Nevada and New Belgium plan to open monstrous beer facilities in this ever frothy city!

- Highland Brewery-( 12 Olde Charlotte Highway) the oldest and most popular of Asheville’s brewers. Tours are available on Saturdays. Oatmeal Stout is especially popular.
