I have been to Austria many times and like an eager child on Christmas morning, I become very excited when I get to return. The crown jewel of this resplendent country is Salzberg. The home of Mozart and Sound of Music fame, this city exemplifies all that is lovely and wondrous and makes you feel like you are 16 going on 17.
Things to see while there:
- Hellbrunn Palace with it’s trick fountains
- Mirabell Palace with it’s central location and manicured gardens dripping in baroque style and coolness
- Getreidgasse- the most lux lane in Salzberg, better for those with a black amex or for the have-nots, money for a cafe to people watch.
