I was in Thailand a glorious 3 weeks and I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind a 16 hour flight but Bangkok being the big hot city it was sure would have been better if I had had a travel companion. Alas, you can’t harp on the have not’s but focus on all the solo snap shots you are able to take as passer-bys take pity on your poor solitary self. A couple of Thai take-aways:
- killer tans even while using SPF 30
- Cheap foot massages, $7 for 30 minutes
- Lady boys run rampant
- Rich European pensioners live there and take on local wives
- Restaurants welded into the frames of a motorbikes; Pad Thai was only $1.
