When this article posts, I will be in Istanbul using the below gadgets to immortalize my trip. Electronics is a vital part of anyone’s around the world travel these days whether we like it or not. Thank goodness, I belong to the ‘like it’ camp!
Here is a short post on all the electronics I am bringing on my tour. Some are sane or de rigueur (oh la la) and some might be a little nutty. I am also not getting paid to mention anything on this post. Thought I would throw that out as many bloggers lace their posts with stuff they get some $$ for.
- Apple 64 GB iPad with wireless keyboard (weighs 1.5 pounds, need I say more?)

- Samsung SIM mobile phone (friend bought it in India on his last trip)
Never hurts to have a cell phone....
- Flip Video. 1 hour of HD video (got it through work at big discount)- Currently the iPad doesn’t have the capability to upload and view video directly from the Flip(you need a PC or Mac). I am playing around with a couple work arounds and hope to blog on their progress.

- iPhone- I can hear you are cringing on this one but with an iPhone I get the following: iPod, web browser, calculator, checkbook, and all the other myriad of apps available, it’s a must for me. Plus my Nano just got stolen recently, so I needed an iPod.
- Assortment of electricity converters, cables, and chargers

why not a camera with video built in? or it just a matter of $$?
well, it wasnt about money, I worked for the company who bought Flip video and got an insane price on it and its small and portable, so thought it would make a nice to have it with me.
